One person is dead, another was hurt in a plane crash in Venice yesterday.
Investigators said it happened at the Venice Municipal Airport when the plane crashed and caught fire. Firefighters were called to the scene around 2 p.m., and put out the fire quickly. The Herald Times reports that a flight instructor who was flying over the airport when the crash happened said the plane crashed onto a closed runway, but didn’t know if it was during take off or landing. He said the plane burst into flames upon impact.
