A Sarasota nursing home will close in less than a month.

That, after federal regulators ordered it so. They said that Harmony Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center must close by September 22 since the care center did not fix problems that were pointed out. It started when a patient on a ventilator died from choking on a cookie she was apparently not supposed to have. That happened in December of 2009 and, as the Herald Tribune reported, the owner of the care center filed for bankruptcy five months later. After several negative inspections and a 27 thousand dollar fine, the more than 80 residents there now have to be moved before September 22.
