It’s the time of year when cities and counties draw up their priority lists for the upcoming legislative season. In North Port, City Commissioners have a couple of new issues they’d like to see dealt with in Tallahassee. One is repeal of a 2010 law that requires state residents to pump and inspect their septic tanks every five years. North Port Commissioners are also urging legislation that would do away with the need for liability insurance for those who want to host public events at public facilities.
