A North Port sixth grader hospitalized after being struck by a car this morning. The eleven-year-old, who’s a student at Woodland Middle School, was struck by a car at the intersection of toledo Blade and Panacea boulevards around eight-fifteen this morning. Police say he was trying to cross Toledo Blade to get to a gas station when he was hit by a southbound silver-colored Honda. Investigators looking for that vehicle and its driver. The boy reportedly sustained non-life-threatening injuries, although he was airlifted to a hospital.
