North Port Police have launched a new smartphone app for crimestopping tips. The Herald-Tribune reports the NPPD Tips app, is free for Android and iPhone devices, and was created to make it easy for you to send anonymous info to police. The app has an anonymous chat feature allowing officers to respond to you. The app’s part of the national “Tip 411,” to connect younger residents with law enforcement.
