Looks like it’s going to be the end of the week before the rain-swollen Myakka River subsides enough to slip off forecasters’ radars. The River Flood Warning for the river at Myakka River State Park that’s been in effect since then-Tropical Storm Isaac blew past the Sun Coast is still active. The National Weather Service says the Myakka is nearing its seven-foot flood stage after several days of receding water levels. Flood stage at the park is seven feet, at which point parking lots, trails and other areas flood.
