A Venice man was seriously injured a motorcycle accident in Sarasota County last night. Jonathan Shidler is reported in critical condition at Venice Regional Medical Center today after his motorcycle struck a median curb on State Route 776 near Roosevelt Drive. That was at about 8:15 last night. Officers say Shidler apparently missed a slight curve and his front wheel struck the median. Shidler actually ended up on the median, which at least kept him out of traffic. Reports say he was wearing a helmet.
