New charges of prescription fraud in Sarasota County and they come in two separate cases. Sarasota Police charging 39-year-old Christian Agner of Sarasota with nine counts of prescription fraud. Meanwhile, an investigation by Sarasota County Sheriff’s detectives has resulted in the arrest of 27-year-old Christopher Pallante of Englewood on four similar counts. Both men accused of being part of a rash of similar crimes on the Sun Coast, in which people “doctor shop” for prescription painkillers without telling doctors they already have similar prescriptions from other physicians.
