The Florida Highway Patrol says a man was killed this morning when his Corvette was hit by an SUV just before 9 this morning near Winchester Boulevard and South McCall Road in Englewood. Charlotte County Fire/EMS tells NBC2, the victim, believed to be in his 70’s, was unresponsive when their rescue crew got to the scene. He was pronounced dead at Englewood Community Hospital.
