Florida Highway Patrol said a South Carolina man was killed yesterday when he lost control of his car in a curve. FHP said 24 year old Montalvo Santos was northbound on State Road 31 in Charlotte County when his Mitsubishi Gallant went off the right shoulder of the road, it spun, hit a culvert, went airborne and slammed into a palm tree and an oak tree on Farrabee Road. The car then rolled, landing on its top.
