Charlotte County Deputies have arrested a Port Charlotte man after he bought what he thought was illegal prescription drugs from an undercover deputy:

Jesse Thomas Wilkes was collared after police answered his Craigslist ad that sought to trade a food stamp card for oxycodone pills. Police say on Thursday an undercover detective met with Wiulkes and provided two imitation Oxycodone pills. Wilkes gave the undercover detective a Food Stamp card and the PIN number for it. Wilkes was arrested immediately, and is in jail locally on a 6-thousand dollar bond. He faces charges of trying to buy illegal drugs and public assistance fraud.
