It started with running a stop sign, and ended with possession charges.

It was Wednesday night when Charlotte County deputies said they saw a green Kia run the stop sign at Olympia Avenue and Marlympia Way in Punta Gorda, so they pulled the car and its driver over. As the deputy approached, the driver fled, the deputy gave chase and saw the driver throw a baggie out of the car on Duncan Road. Cops finally stopped the driver on I-75. They found the baggie, which they said had several pieces of crack cocaine in it. That’s when they busted 30 year old Preston Sesler of Punta Gorda. Sesler was charged with drug related offenses and because of his history, is in the Charlotte County Jail sans bond.
