Four people in jail today after deputies say they attacked a man with a hammer and robbed him. Reports say the man was sitting on his back porch in Punta Gorda when the four got out of a car, beat him with the hammer and stole three hundred dollars in cash. They were later spotted at a Charlotte County Walmart and arrested. Today, Johnny De La Cruz, Justin Spiller, William Spiller and Brandy Lynn Swartz are jailed without bond on charges of robbery and aggravated battery with a weapon.
