A Charlotte County man who’s already out on bond on two other deadly weapons charges has now been arrested for concealing a hand gun. Deputies say 23-year-old Leon Mercurius of Port Charlotte was originally stopped for playing excessively loud music on his car stereo while leaving a night club parking lot. Officers say Mercurius tried to escape but was blocked by parking lot congestion. They say he had a nine millimeter pistol concealed in the drivers side door. Mercurius previously arrested in North Port and Port Charlotte on separate charges of Aggravated Assault With A Deadly Weapon.
