Bob Bedford moved to Englewood with his family in 1973. He attended Englewood Elementary School and Lemon Bay Junior/Senior High School, graduating in 1986. He attended the University of Florida and graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business in 1991. After graduating in 1991, he moved to Naples to work in banking. In the fall of 1993, Bob was hired as a business vocational teacher at Lemon Bay High School. He spent 16 years in the classroom. In addition, he coached boys and girls basketball, sponsored many clubs and originated the “Manta Stand”, Lemon Bay High School’s school store. After completing his Master’s Degree in Education Leadership from Nova University in 2007, he was hired as Assistant Principal for Curriculum in 2009. He has spent the last 3 years working with curriculum, testing, and school activities. His wife is also employed by Charlotte County Public Schools and both his daughters attend school in the county.
