With close to 60% of Englewood’s 3900 public school students are on free or reduced lunch programs, 49 are identified as homeless, and 175 take part in ‘weekend backpack’ food programs you can help young people in need. Kids’ Needs – Greater Englewood, Inc. is looking for new or nearly new shoes and clothing, and new toiletries and school supplies for boys and girls in grades K-12. You can drop them off at any of the donation boxes in the city, the YMCA, Links Golf Course, Rotonda, and The Key Agency, S. McCall Rd. For more info, visit www.kidsneedsenglewood.org.
