Punta Gorda officials say a portion of North Jones Loop Road is going to be closed for several weeks beginning Tuesday to construct a new railroad crossing. The stretch of North Jones Loop that’s affected is at the railroad tracks between U-S 41 and Taylor Road. The road will be closed for about eight weeks.
