A Port Charlotte landscaping business owner has been arrested, after deputies say he dumped 210 yards of landscape debris on four vacant lots.
Johnny Martin Brown was arrested yesterday after deputies were tipped to a large pile of tree limbs on a vacant lot in the 1200 block of Birchcrest Boulevard. The pile was somewhat hidden from view from the road. As they checked out the property, deputies found more piles of tree debris. Brown runs a landscaping business, and deputies say he had not received permission from the owners of the vacant lot to put the libs and palm fronds there. Brown was released from jail after posting a $10,000 bond.
