An Englewood East man has been arrested for illegally dumping 320 cubic feet of construction debris, palm fronds, and household items on a vacant lot. Andres Lopez faces a felony dumping charge. A deputy was patrolling the Englewood East area, saw the pile of debris and at the end of a cul-de-sac behind the county trash transfer station. In that pile was a receipt from a local lumber company, where the manager remembered a man who bought a door frame but couldn’t say where he lived. Based on the manager’s description of the man, deputies tracked down Lopez, who admitted to the dumping.
