Forecasters say Tropical Storm Debby will continue its slow march northward and while tornadoes are no longer an immediate concern there’s plenty to look out for on the Sun Coast. A Tropical Storm Warning is in effect and water could be two to three feet above usual level through tonight. High tide will bring significant flooding to some low-lying areas while rain is expected to continue on and off through Friday. Port Charlotte Beach at the end of Harbor Boulevard is closed due to flooding. At last report, several streets in Punta Gorda are closed or partially blocked by water.
