Some of the residents of Sun Lake Villas in Punta Gorda have had it up to here…their noses, with a fish kill that’s stinking up the neighborhood. Dozens of dead fish have been found in the last three weeks. NBC2 reports Florida Fish and Wildlife says the lake could have Low Dissolved Oxygen or LDO. An algae bloom or weather change may have cut the oxygen levels in the lake killing the fish. Since the fish kill, the area’s gotten very popular with vultures.
