A Sarasota man has been indicted on federal charges. 34-year-old Roderick Sears has been charged with being a felon in possession of four firearms, and possessing marijuana with intent to distribute it. Sears has multiple felony drug convictions and had four firearms and the marijuana with him when he was arrested on July 27th. He was taken into federal custody this week, at his place of business, without incident… but the sheriff’s department says he first threw a blue bag, which was recovered and contained 10 bags of marijuana weighing approximately three ounces. If convicted on all counts, Sears faces a maximum penalty of ten years in federal prison.
