A major facelift for Sarasota-Bradenton International Airport. It’s all about making the airport more appealing to travelers and enticing them to choose SRQ over its close competitors, especially Tampa International Airport. The seven-point-five million dollar project includes landscaping upgrades and traffic lane additions as well as a marketing campaign called “Look Before You Book”, which urges travelers to consider the less-congested Sarasota airport when they fly to the Sun Coast. It will all be in place by October, 2013.
