A former Sarasota County official has filed a sex discrimination suit against the county. The Equal Employment Opportunity Commission says 61-year-old Susan Scott has filed the complaint, alleging that both age and sex discrimination were involved in her recent ouster. Scott had been a deputy Sarasota County Administrator from 2003 until she resigned under pressure in July. At the time, Scott was head of the county’s Communications Department.
