Englewood Pioneer Days are coming up this weekend. The big parade day is Monday, a Labor Day tradition. First event is the Englewood Idol competition that’s happening tomorrow at Lemon Bay High School. The popular Cardboard Boat Race is Saturday and the Shipwreck Dance Saturday night. On Sunday, the second annual Michael O’Donnell Memorial Fish-A-Thon opens registration at seven A-M, poles in the water at eight. The Artists Acres Tour later on. Then Monday, it’s parade time, beginning at ten A-M and followed by a lively street celebration. This is the 55th outing for pioneer Days in Englewood.
