An Englewood man is dead after a driver pulled in to his lane as he was riding a motorcycle yesterday. 65-year old Robert Schneider was airlifted from the scene on US 41 near Baywood Drive, but died later at Bayfront Medical Center in St. Petersburg. The Highway patrol says Schneider was southbound on U.S. 41 in the outside lane. Evert Gustafsson of Sarasota had stopped at the intersection and was beginning to cross the street when he pulled into the path of the motorcycle.
