A North Port man picked up in Miami in the November drive-by shooting of four people in Port Charlotte. U-S Marshals arresting 30-year-old Herbert “Dooney” Battle, Junior, in Miami. Investigators say Battle fled the Sun Coast following the shootings into a car on U-S 41 on November 28th. The shootings happened after an argument inside Boomer’s Night Club. Battle wanted on four counts of attempted murder. A second suspect, 35-year-old Ashanti Roundtree of North Port, was arrested that same day and remains in the Charlotte County Jail.
