Five people now confirmed dead in the crash of a flight from Venice in North Carolina yesterday afternoon. Witnesses say the Cessna Citation business jet, which was on a flight from Venice Regional AIrport to Franklin, North Carolina, crashed and burned in a field as it was trying to land at the Macon County airport yesterday afternoon. Officials say the pilot was a full-time resident of Venice and the plane was owned by a Venice businessman. The identities of the victims has not yet been released. Cause of the crash is unknown.
