Deputies in Charlotte County have Corrections Officer Terrence Rushing for trying to smuggle marijuana into the Charlotte Correctional Institution.
Misty Cash, with the Florida Department of Corrections, says the agency is looking into the situation. His arrest report in Charlotte County says the 43-year-old had more than 40 grams of marijuana when he tried to walk into work at the Charlotte Correctional Institution. It was found out when Rushing was selected for a random pat down Monday morning. From a state prison, to the Charlotte County Jail, Rushing’s now out on bond and at his Cape Coral home.
