He’s on death row for killing a North Port mother — now, he says his trial was unfair and he wants the death penalty removed. Attorneys for 40-year-old Michael King telling the Florida Supreme Court that the judge and prosecuting attorney improperly undermined important evidence. Also that the jury in King’s trial was given improper information and that a sledding accident at age six damaged his brain. King sentenced to death for killing Denise Lee of North Port in 2008.
