Charlotte County is looking to ban a popular type of synthetic marijuana that’s now legally available at many stores. It’s called Spice and is marketed under a number of names, primarily at convenience stores. While packages may say the contents are “herbal potpourri”, detractors say the products actually contain material similar to marijuana and even more dangerous. That’s why Charlotte County commissioners are looking at banning sale of the products. A public hearing in the works for next month.
