The Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office raided a Cape Haze home Tuesday morning and arrested five people. Drugs, a stolen handgun and over $6,000 was also recovered. Deputies arrested 25-year-old Joshua Hearns, 23-year-old Xavier Hearns, 26-year-old Christine Kovari, 26-year-old Reshay Melton and 20-year-old Brittany Wyatt. Inside the home, investigators found cocaine, marijuana and drug paraphernalia. All five are now facing multiple drug charges. Melton was also charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. Investigators say the 9mm Glock was stolen from Desoto County.
