CCSO deputies have 5-people in custody on narcotics charges after two incidents in the Parkside area. Deputies stopped a couple walking along Burkhart Drive. A 38-year old woman from Port Charlotte admitted having something in a bag that might be illegal. Deputies found 4-grams of meth, and several different kinds of pills. She faces multiple counts. While in the area, they heard gunshots, and near Hanson and Midway Blvd. That led to a house where officers found more prescription pills and drug paraphernalia. They arrested four more people on drug charges.
