You know you’re in trouble when…

The law catches you in the act! In this case, Charlotte County Sheriff’s deputies caught a man in the act of burglarizing a home Sunday around 4:45 in the morning. They said the burglar removed the electric meter at the Crocket Street house, but the alarm had a battery backup and deputies responded. When they got there, they saw the burglar carrying items to his red Durango pickup. He then dropped what he was carrying and fled into a wooded area. Deputies established a perimeter and nabbed the suspect. They then found alleged evidence in plain sight. The suspect is 34 year old Timothy Warren Hartman of Capital Heights Street in Englewood. He’s now in the Charlotte County Jail with no bond since he’s a twice convicted felon.
