The Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office is trying to identify the man seen with James Brotherton shortly before he was murdered on November 21st.

There are pictures that show Brotherton actually at the ATM, and a man in a white man in a black shirt and black hat, looking like he’s waiting for Brotherton to finish his transaction, so he can use the ATM. SCSO says the bank machine is at the Beneva Village Bank of America ATM, and it was around 11:50 p.m. Investigators say Brotherton was shot dead about four minutes later, at Curtiss Avenue and Gulf Gate Drive. His body was found about 40 minutes later at that location. Investigators found Brotherton’s vehicle close to Stickney Point Road and Gateway Drive around 5:20 a.m. If you know anything, call SCSO.
