A ten-year-old boy arrested for bringing a knife onto a school bus. Charlotte County deputies were called after students on the bus told the driver a boy was repeatedly opening and closing a folding knife while the bus was rolling them home from East Elementary School in Punta Gorda. Deputies boarded the bus, arrested the boy and took him to Charlotte County Jail where he was charged with possession of a weapon on school property. He was later released to his parents’ custody and will face a court appearance in the future.
