Sarasota County Utilities crews spent yesterday repairing a water main break in the Coronado subdivision. That leak has prompted a precautionary boil water advisory.
The advisory is for about 176 residents living on Coronado Drive, Thornwood Road, Cross Creek Road and Cross Creek Drive in Sarasota, according to the county. Water service has been restored, and residents have been notified by automated phone message. Bottled water can be used as an alternative to boiling the tap water. Another automated phone message will go to the affected homes when the water is tested and verified to be safe to drink.
