In Venice, the number of applicants for the City Manager position has now hit 87. They include Venice Interim City Manager Nancy Woodley as well as applicants from North Port and Charlotte County departments. Some come from as far away as Arizona and even Canada. Officials say they’re waiting until next Tuesday’s elections to begin the interview process. Venice hopes to name its new City Manager by the first of the year.
