An Arcadia woman confessed to killing her husband on Friday. The 38-year-old woman told Desoto County Deputies she shot and killed her husband.
Joni Truman told 911 dispatchers that she killed her husband Gregory Truman. Reportedly he told the operator that she believed she was insane and had used a 9 mm pistol to commit the crime and had shot him multiple times.
When a DeSoto County Sheriff’s deputy arrived at the home on the 2700 block of NE Hollingsworth Street, she was waiting for them in the driveway.
According to an interview with DCSO detectives, Truman said that she decided to kill him because he refused to end the marriage.
Joni Truman was charged with premeditated murder. and is being held at the DeSoto County Jail without bond.
