A head-on collision took the life of one man and place another in critical condition on Monday. The accident occurred on South River Road in Englewood, fl.
Two pickups collided on South River Road at about 2:42 p.m., closing the busy road for several hours between U.S. 41 and Winchester Boulevard.
A 59-year-old man from Venice crossed the center line hitting the oncoming truck driven by a 44 year old Port Charlotte resident. The Venice man died, and the Port Charlotte man was taken by Aeromed helicopter to a hospital trauma center.
