Allegiant Air’s Sunseeker Resort project in Charlotte Harbor is on hold indefinitely confirmed in a Monday. This comes after Allegiant halted construction due to the coronavirus pandemic. Allegiant says it will not put any more capital into the project for at least 18 months and later, it said indefinitely. The company is working to preserve its most important assets of its model — the airline. Contractors will soon begin to dismantle six towering cranes as well as the concrete forms used to build each floor, said Hilarie Grey, spokesperson for Allegiant Travel Company.
