Out of work Floridians will need to request benefits every 2 weeks through unemployment website.

Florida’s troubled unemployment website is down for maintenance again this morning.

To receive your unemployment benefits you will need to check back into the “Connect” system every two weeks.

That means as of Sunday—you’ll need to log back on to re-submit your request for payment throughout the entirety of your unemployment.

Even if your current claim is pending review.

When you log on you’ll be asked to answer a series of questions for each applicable week.

The DEO will waive work search and work registration requirements through May 30th.

This might sound frustrating but the DEO is trying to make this as easy as possible for you.

They have a step-by-step guide on how to re-apply. You can find that information on their website
