The Charlotte County School Board unanimously approved a $326 million budget for the upcoming school year this week.

The budget is $24.2 million more than last school year. The district estimated they will spend around $239 million, with almost $10 million going into reserves.

At a Monday meeting, the school board also approved the millage rate of 7.14 mills, a nearly 15 percent increase from last year’s rate.
