A Port Charlotte woman is set to be sentenced Wednesday for her part in a robbery that turned deadly. Prosecutors say 47-year-old Kristin Gabriellini was waiting in a getaway car outside a Walgreens in Sarasota last January while 22-year-old Zachary Mathes tried to rob the store. Police officers arrived and shot Mathes, killing him on the spot. Gabriellini originally was released after telling officers she had come to the store to shop. She was later arrested and, under Florida law, was charged with Mathes’ murder as well as armed robbery.
