Lew Hastings- Executive Director of the Boca Grande Area Chamber of Commerce
Born in New York but as the son of an Army Veteran, grew up in Texas, Colorado and New York.
Lew worked for his college radio station WSIA FM 88.9 in New York as an on-air new and weather reporter.
Attended Rutgers University for Archaeology & Anthropology and in between working in the field, has had a successful career in business management for over 25 years in New York, New Jersey, Wyoming and Florida.
2012 accomplishments include the successful revival of the World’s Richest Tarpon Tournament, SW Florida’s most famous sport fishing event on it’s 30th Anniversary in May 2012 and adding increased value to the Boca Grande Area Chamber of Commerce through a series of events and new initiatives leading to a 74.9% increase in membership over the previous year.
Most recently, Lew has become Editor-In-Chief of a new Global Network of Digital News and Information website titled APGulfCoast.com The Gulf Coast region runs from Brownsville, TX to Key West, FL. If it’s happening on the Gulf Coast, it should be on APGulf Coast.com
Lew works & currently resides on Boca Grande with his wife Mary Anne and two of their 3 daughters.
