The Suncoast This Morning

It all started when I was 10 and decided I wanted to be on the radio. Starting my radio career when I was 15 at Radio Station KWOC in Poplar Bluff, Missouri. (my home town). Getting a job at WPAQ took me to Mt. Airy, North Carolina, for a short stint and then back to Missouri, where I worked in Kennett, Jefferson City, Moberly, and Osage Beach. Later I would do afternoon drive in Las Vegas, Nevada, before moving to Englewood, Florida.

I think had I started my career in Englewood I would probably not have traveled around and moved up and down the dial as much as I did. Making WENG Radio an important community information provider in the Southwest Plex is my driving force. I have been blessed in that I have been able to do what I wanted to do in life and have the same enthusiasm when I am on the air as I did when I was 15.

I believe in community involvement and have served as Chairman of the Membership Committee of the Englewood/Cape Haze Area Chamber of Commerce. I have served on County Extension Boards in Missouri, President of the Lake Area Chamber of Commerce, and on the Board of Directors of the Lake of the Ozarks Convention and Visitors Bureau. Being involved in the community has always been very important to me.

My wife Tammy and I live in Englewood.

Program Director/Office Manager

I was born and raised in St. Louis, Missouri where it is incredibly frigid in the winters and hotter and more humid in the summers. While enrolled at The Broadcast Center in St. Louis, I was an intern for a major radio station that is the flagship for a couple of the St. Louis major sports teams. Sports is my passion and really what got me interested in the world of radio and communications. When school was all done with in July of 2005 I came down here to work for WENG where I have found myself doing everything from production to news to sales, and the list could go on. In my off time, if so privileged to have it, I root for my Cardinals, Rams and Blues from St. Louis as well as the Tampa Bay Rays, and I love to explore, travel and have a good cup of Joe. With the growth of Englewood and WENG, who would want to be anywhere else?
