An arrest has been made of a Manatee High School student after a note was found threatening other students at the school. The Bradenton Police Department, along with the FBI, were able to identify and charge the 14-year-old freshman in connection to the note that was found last week. The investigation started last week when another student found a note that said something would happen on February 15. That was one day after the Parkland, FL. The student is charged with False Report concerning the use of a firearm in a violent manner, a second-degree felony.
Believe it or not, when the Bradenton Police Department was investigating the note, a student found another note on the campus. Police say the note had a threat that was similar to the first one, saying that people would be harmed at the school. It stated there would be a shooting at Manatee High School at some point today. Security has been increased at all local schools.
