Proof that law enforcement is taking school violence serious has happened again in Collier County after an arrest has been made of an 18-year-old student. Deputies say the student brought a knife, along with other things in a backpack to the school. The arrest was made Monday after a tip was received Friday. Among the items found were a fake, yet realistic-looking police badge, a map of Palmetto Ridge High School in Naples and names of students. He is also accused of having a weapon on school grounds.
