A medical marijuana dispensary opened its doors Thursday in North Port.
With other southwest Florida cities banning dispensaries, Surterra Wellness on Tamiami Trail is likely the closest location for those living in those other towns.
Surterra offers products from oils, sprays, lotions and vaporizer pens. Amendment 2 was passed by 71 percent of voters in November 2016.
WINK-TV reported before yesterdays opening, the only dispensary in Southwest Florida was located in North Fort Myers.
