The republican tax plan is close to a vote and the yes votes may be down from a week ago. Not only will newly-elected Alabama Senator Doug Jones possibly get a vote, Florida Republican Marco Rubio has said he will vote “no” if the bill remains in its current form. Rubio is pointing to the child tax credit as the reason he will vote no on the package. Currently, the child tax credit is $1,000 and Rubio wants that number doubled.
